Jus-Rol with it

Loving the smell of home baking and having the time to bake are definitely two separate things in this house. The last few months have been chaotic and the only time I have had to spend in the kitchen has been to cook meals for the family.

So I was rather excited when I was introduced to the Jus-rol bake it fresh range. Freshly baked cinnamon swirls ,croissants, pain au chocolat, apple danish, garlic pizza bread and pizza bases.

We tried the cinnamon swirls first and seriously was surprised by how easy they were to bake and how yummy they were.

I am glad I took this photo whilst the swirls were still warm because 20 minutes later they were all gone.

I have been using Jus-Rol pastry for a while. Now I’m happy to add these Bake-It-Fresh products to my list.

We can’t wait to try the others in the range.

Hipster holiday hotspots

I love finding new fashion ideas and get excited by new styles.

So when I came across Simply Be’s Hipster holiday hotspots I did get a little loud.

Its a fantastic interactive graphic which allows you to check out outfits styles from across various locations.

You get to scroll your way around the world woo hoo.

My favourite hotspot is Rome, Italy. An on trend grungy get up.

Canda is a close second.

I think they have missed a New York outift, I’m thinking this outfit would be perfect.

Style on Sunday

This week has been so hot and my wardrobe choices have been pretty limited.

Although I would love to have a selection of pretty summer clothes the finances say different.

This doesn’t stop a girl from dreaming though.

This weeks style on Sunday is a little different as I have been joined by one of my beautiful girlies.

So here are our outfit choices for this week.

I just fell in love with this dress from Simply Be’s Folktale collection its perfect for these summer days.

I would wear it with these gorgeous sandals.

And to finish it off I absolutely adore this bag.

All this outfit was from Simply Be.

After seeing the beautiful Becky Barnes rocking the jumpsuit I have been wondering if maybe one would suit me.

So when I came across this stunner from Yours Clothing I knew it was going to be an outfit pic for this week.

Its beautiful isn’t it and with a pair of simple black Platform court shoes again from Yours Clothing the outfit is elegant and so stylish and I so want it.

Now for my girlie’s outfit pick for this week. She has chosen a cute pair of high waisted shorts from New Look

Paired with with a sweet turquoise crochet T-shirt

With a gorgeous pair of sandals from ASOS to complete. I

think Brodie would look beautiful in this outfit but I confess to being completely bias.

Birthday shopping

For the first time ever I was super excited about birthday shopping.

My family had given me the cash so that I could choice what I wanted for myself.

My list

A new purse as my old one has broken.

A new spatula for baking

New clothes.

and some new undies.

So what did I get?

Well today I treated myself to some new make-up and some new nail polish.

But most importantly I have ordered some beautiful clothes.

Taking advantage of the ASOS sale i ordered this.

And these gorgeous crop jeans from the So Fabulous range @ Very.

What do you think?

I’m still on the search for a purse, nothing caught me eye today any suggestions?

I didn’t come across the spatula I wanted and as for underwear this is always a struggle, my boobs are so blooming awkward. ( I imagine you are so glad I shared that with you).

Anyway regardless of what I didn’t get I am super happy with my choices.

Bakewell Baking Festival Fun

Saturday I was up early and ready for my girly day out.

My best friend and my stepmom and I were all off to the Bakewell Baking festival.

We had an amazing time.

Loads of laughter and lots of yummy food to try. It was a fun filled day.

Bakewell is a beautiful village with stunning scenery.

A river full of swans, ducks and fish, that we couldn’t name.

The vintage market was great with amazing stalls, I fell in love with the aprons from The Messy Baker. I so wanted one but made the mistake of thinking I will pick it up later. By the time I had returned the style I wanted was sold out. Still sad over this, waiting for new stock so I can treat myself. These aprons make baking glamorous.

We attended the bakery demonstration by Stacie Stewart, she made a white chocolate gateau. I love Stacie’s down to earth personality though the recipe was beyond my capability.

There was also a a little craft market with some beautiful handmade items.

Off course when visiting Bakewell you have to visit the Old Bakewell bakery where you can purchase the traditional Bakewell pudding. They are also have a restaurant upstairs where I had one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. Also the service was so efficient and polite.

It was a lovely day spent with lovely company,

Bakewell is a beautiful village and I hope one day to go back and explore more. I heartily recommend visiting this area the scenery is simply beautiful.

Friendship & Cake

Yesterday I was lucky enough to
get to visit the Cake and Bake Show in Manchester.

My dear friend Shelley won tickets from Lakeland and I was blessed enough to be invited along. So on the train we went for a day full of fun and no children woo hoo.

The Manchester Central when we finally found it was packed solid with queues out of the door. After waiting impatiently we entered a hall full of stalls selling everything the amateur cake decorator and baker could want.

Sugarcraft butterflies to tractors tins. Demonstrators, workshops and so much more

I was super excited by the bread baking equipment and treated myself to a cane proofing basket.

It was a fantastic day just enjoying friendship and shopping.
Getting to chat while we browsed the stalls what more could a girl want.

The show was a great day out, with companies like Lakeland and Baking mad.com, Sainsburys, Dove farms and Dr Oetker it was a well planned event.

Celebrity bakers including my heart throb Paul Hollywood were in attendance. Simply fantastic, Simply gorgeous.

Beautiful cakes, artisan breads just blissful.

My only complaint would be that it needs to be at a bigger venue as at times it was impossible to reach the stalls or watch the demonstrations. Also there wasn’t enough chairs to rest upon,

I returned happy with my new basket, new recipe book and some yummy cheese

An amazing day made more special by the friend I shared the day with.

A fantastic or should that be a taste-tactic day.
