A must read.

Never have I felt unable to describe to you a book. A book that needs an explanation but my heart is still a mess from reading it, not because the book isn’t worth describing far from it, but because the book, the story has torn my soul. Filled me with emotions and uplifted my heart so much.

Let me introduce you to Kisses from Katie.

Reading this book you will follow Katie’s journey from being a typical American teenager to becoming a mother of 14 at the tender age of 21.

It’s a story full of faith, love and commitment.

This young woman had a plan but God had one so much bigger. Thankfully Katie opened her heart and answered God’s call.

From a short mission break, to a ten month commitment to teach Kindergarten, to a lifetime commitment as a mother to fourteen children and dedication to a country which stole her heart.

Follow through the pages, the journey that Katie Davis takes from her only worries being the school dance to wondering how to feed over 1600 children.

While I don’t want to share the entire story with you as I really want you to go buy the book for yourself I do promise that you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a journey of inspiration, the story of motherhood and the call to love others as Jesus tells us to.

Katie offers, “People tell me I am brave. People tell me I am strong. People tell me good job. Well here is the truth of it. I am really not that brave, I am not really that strong, and I am not doing anything spectacular. I am just doing what God called me to do as a follower of Him. Feed His sheep, do unto the least of His people.”

While I understand Katie’s heart I do think she is both brave and strong.

This book has set my heart alight and I whole heartily recommend it.

****I have nothing to gain from recommending this book, I brought it myself but just felt I had to share it with you.
